Woodlawn Hospital's Maintenance department strives to achieve a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors and employees. The ultimate goal of the Maintenance department is to keep all the utilities, including heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical, working properly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

In addition to managing the mechanical and electrical systems, the Maintenance staff is responsible for work orders, building repairs, grounds keeping, maintaining hospital safety equipment and completing regular hospital safety inspections.

As a patient, any electrical devices brought to the hospital will have to be inspected by Maintenance and approved before being placed in the room. If there is a safety or mechanical concern in your room, please tell your nurse so it can be taken care of as soon as possible.
