Welcome to Rochester, Indiana!

Rochester is a family-centered community located in north central Indiana on the banks of Lake Manitou. This small, rural community prides itself on providing unique lake opportunities, a strong public school system, beautiful golf courses and parks. The city maintains a thriving business and industry district; responsible for making products like space shuttle radiation shields, race car engines and cottage cheese by the ton.

Rochester offers many recreational activities including; fishing, golfing, swimming, walking trails and camping. There are parks available for picnics, cookouts, sporting events and other types of outdoor fun. The Chamber of Commerce sponsors annual events such as the Round Barn Festival, Twilight Parade, Chili Cook-off, and Red Hot Car Show. The city of Rochester was selected to be the 1998 winner of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Community of the Year Award. In 2003, Rochester celebrated its Sesquicentennial (150 years).
