The Chamber of Commerce sponsors annual events such as the Round Barn Festival, Twilight Parade, Chili Cook-off, and Red Hot Car Show. The city of Rochester was selected to be the 1998 winner of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Community of the Year Award. In 2003, Rochester celebrated its Sesquicentennial (150 years).
